My name is Reese, Reese Logan, the "RL" in RL Woodworx (real creative I know). My obsession with making things began at a young age with a fascination with Lincoln Logs and Legos. Then, in seventh grade upon entering my districts high school (7-12, I know its weird) I was exposed to true woodworking for the first time. The project, a simple Cracker Barrel style golf tee - peg game, something I still have... somewhere. No matter the difficulty of the project, I was hooked, something I hadn't directly experienced before, taking a raw material and making a finished product out of it.
Fast forward nine years and here we find ourselves. Today I am a mechanical engineering student set to graduate in August (2022) from Wentworth Institute of Technology with a minor in Manufacturing. My woodworking has risen to somewhere between a hobby and a small business. In other words my woodworking business has an engineering school problem. Along the way I have amassed skills that further my obsession with making things with my own hands. From hand tools to shop tools, 3D modeling software to milling and lathing of metal components and even a little welding. The more I create the more the drive to keep going grows as the line around woodworking blurs further everyday.
Breed: Bergamasco (Italian sheepdog from the Alps)
Hobbies include:
- especially attacking the full shovel
(don't worry her breed can consume dairy)
